The Story Behind the Jason Scott Collection
The Jason Scott Collection is rooted in a deep appreciation for craftsmanship, history, and the natural beauty of reclaimed teak wood. After years of traveling the world, Jason Scott found inspiration on the island of Java, where the culture, landscape, and traditional artistry left a lasting impression. During his time there, he began collecting antique furniture and one-of-a-kind artifacts, which eventually led to the opening of his first antique furniture shop in Minneapolis, Minnesota.

What began as a passion for antiques soon evolved into something much larger. Jason returned to Java to further study the craft and began developing what would become the Jason Scott Collection. In a small village, he started working closely with local artisans to create handcrafted furniture using reclaimed teak salvaged from abandoned structures. Each piece is carefully shaped, finished, and refined through a detailed hands-on process that gives the collection its distinctive texture, depth, and old-world character.
As the collection grew, Jason continued to build strong relationships with the craftsmen, carvers, and assemblers behind each design. His work expanded into custom pieces for high-end retail and design clients, eventually developing into a larger operation supported by skilled artisans throughout Java. Today, the Jason Scott Collection is known for heirloom-quality furniture that blends global influence, reclaimed materials, and exceptional hand craftsmanship.

At Hill Country Interiors, we are proud to feature pieces from the Jason Scott Collection for clients who appreciate furniture with presence, history, and authenticity.
