After years of traveling the world, Jason Scott found inspiration on the island of Java, where the culture, landscape, and traditional artistry left a lasting impression. During his time there, he began collecting antique furniture and one-of-a-kind artifacts, which eventually led to the opening of his first antique furniture shop in Minneapolis, Minnesota.

What began as a passion for antiques soon evolved into something much larger. Jason returned to Java to further study the craft and began developing what would become the Jason Scott Collection. In a small village, he started working closely with local artisans to create handcrafted furniture using reclaimed teak salvaged from abandoned structures. Each piece is carefully shaped, finished, and refined through a detailed hands-on process that gives the collection its distinctive texture, depth, and old-world character.

As the collection grew, Jason continued to build strong relationships with the craftsmen, carvers, and assemblers behind each design. His work expanded into custom pieces for high-end retail and design clients, eventually developing into a larger operation supported by skilled artisans throughout Java.
